| Risen Pasty Dough

1 cup milk
1/3 cup sugar
1/3 cup unsalted butter or shortening
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 1/2 teaspoons traditional yeast
1/4 cup water
2 eggs
3 3/4 cups flour
In a bowl mix water, milk, salt, shortening sugar until you feel the sugar is dissolved
completely. Add yeast and let sit on the counter for about an
hour. Add 2 well beaten eggs and 3 3/4 cups flour. Mix well
and cover until risen to 2 -3 times original size.
Push down and place on a lightly floured surface.
