Teething

The pain of having your entire set of teeth spontaneously rupturing through your gums as an adult would drive you insane.

No wonder baby's can show a bit of discomfort throughout this process.

So, what are the signs of teething?

  • Red cheeks

  • Desire to chew on everything.  Don't just give them plastic to chew on; a corn cob or piece of meat is much tastier and better for them.

  • You may see additional diaper rashes which appear and disappear suddenly.

What can I do about it?

  • Make baby as comfortable as possible, giving them something to chew on

  • Use infant aspirin to aid sleep

  • Avoid topical solutions on the gums

The teething process comes and goes... This process will certainly interrupt their sleeping patterns; making them wake up more often out of discomfort.

Look on the bright side... they will soon be eating real food on their own.
